Going out on a boat as a family sounds like a big, complicated plan, but in Cambrils it’s the opposite: a calm day, close to the coast, no licence, and everything set up so you can go with kids without the stress. Here’s the practical guide to getting it right so the day works from start to finish.

Easy and safe with kids

The key to a good family day is keeping it simple. That’s why La Bond is the most comfortable option for going out with little ones:

  • No licence needed. You book with just your ID and, before setting off, we walk you through the basics in about 15 minutes. Any adult can drive it.
  • Life jackets in every size, including the smallest ones. Under-14s wear their life jacket while the boat is underway — that’s standard and as it should be.
  • Safety gear included on board, plus insurance.
  • It’s a stable, calm boat, made for days close to the coast rather than long crossings.

The idea is to cruise slowly, stop at a cove, anchor and let the kids swim straight off the boat. No rushing.

What to bring (and what’s already included)

So you don’t forget anything, it helps to separate what you bring from what we already provide.

Included on board:

  • A cooler for drinks and snacks.
  • A sun shade for the hottest hours.
  • A nautical map of the area and safety gear.
  • Insurance (SOVI and civil liability).

Worth bringing yourself:

  • Caps, sunscreen and plenty of water.
  • Something for the kids to nibble on and the snacks for the cooler.
  • Towels and a dry change of clothes.
  • Snorkel masks if you have them (or add them as an extra when booking).

Calm coves to anchor and swim

The ideal plan with kids is to pick sheltered coves where the water is calm so they can swim happily. From Cambrils you have several nearby spots, perfect for dropping anchor, having a bite and getting straight into the water off the boat.

If the little ones like watching fish, bring the snorkel masks: in the rocky, clear-water areas you can see the bottom, and it’s one of the moments they enjoy most. There are ideas on where to stop in our snorkelling and coves experience.

The boat for family outings: La Bond

For this plan, La Bond is the natural choice: 4 metres, a 15 HP engine, up to 5 people and no licence. Plenty for a family wanting a calm day along the coast, a swim and snacks on board. On top of that, fuel is included, so you don’t have to worry about refuelling.

If there are more of you, or you want to go further to find coves, there’s La Niña, our 80 HP Quicksilver 505, which needs a licence or a skipper. But for the classic family day close to the coast, La Bond is the perfect fit.

How to book and pick the day

  • Book online with instant confirmation and card payment.
  • You depart from the Club Nàutic de Cambrils.
  • Free cancellation up to 48h before, in case the plan or the weather changes.
